GedcomDB is an ActiveX server that can read genealogy GEDCOM files and expose the data as a simple object model. Client applications can be written in any language that supports automation, such as VB, C++, VBScript, Java, etc.

What is GEDCOM?

GEDCOM is a specification developed by the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) to provide a means of storing and transmitting genealogical information. All modern genealogy programs should be able to create a GEDCOM file.
